B & W

Today, my U.S. history teacher talked about the start of slavery in America. I wonder why white is usually associated with victory and innocence, positive connotations. On the other hand, I wonder why black is associated with evil and death, all negative connotations.

Maybe if the Africans enslaved Europeans back then, black could’ve been “good” and white could’ve been “bad.”

Or maybe, it’s not a matter of B & W.

Maybe, we just need more gray.

      1. I came across a post about colors and the connotations each has, a while ago here on WordPress, and it really was interesting. It would be really interesting to know how exactly it was that we gave each color a specific “meaning”.
