Cloud Watching anyone?

“The fact that something is aimless doesn’t mean it’s pointless.”— Gavin Pretor-Pinney, founder of The Cloud Appreciation Society (‘Fighting Blue Sky Thinking‘)

Back when my father took me to New York in eighth grade

We should take more walks, more laying under the night sky and looking at stars, more wandering without having a clear destination.

Anyone interested in cloud watching with me?

  1. This made me smile because I love watching clouds! I have so many pictures that I’ve taken of the sky :3 Laying down and staring up is such a relaxing way to think about yourself and the world. Also, tests and homework don’t seem so pressing when airy wisps of water make colored pictures in the sky.

  2. I love that quote by Gavin because I relate to it greatly. It’s true that just because something is aimless, it doesn’t mean it’s pointless. I find that some of the most aimless things are my favorite because they help me relax and just enjoy life. 🙂
